 Upbeat and entertaining, June 15, 2008
I personally feel that the cd was overall very strong and entertaining. I admit that I can understand the viewpoints of both the positive and negative reviews. However in my opinion this cd helped solidify why Madonna still is and continues to be a shining example to others to always follow your dreams and that anything is possible. This cd is the type of cd that grows on you each time you listen to it. With that being said here are my opinions on each of the songs
candy shop 8/10 : a very strong song with exotic beats that would be perfect for a dance club.
4 minutes 7/10 a good collaboration with timbaland and justin timberlake with a strong horn.
give it to me 8/10: an excellent pairing with pharell that makes excellent use of the drums and conveys a message that you are here to win in life and that she will continue on regardless of what others may say.
heartbeat 10/10: One of the best songs on the cd in my opinion. I listen to this track alot on my way to work.
miles away 9/10: sounds inspired from love profusion but a beautiful song on how love can be appreciated even more in a long distance relationship.
she's not me 9/10: One of my other favorite songs about a woman telling her man that the other woman doesn't compare to her but does it in a groovy and fun way.
incredible 8/10: This song grew on me after the second listen and I like how the song praises her love in a very sensual way.
beat goes on 6/10: Another song grower but in my opinion is a listenable song about having fun and enjoying the moment.
dance 2 night 6/10: An ok song for mellow slow dancing moments.
spanish lesson 7/10: An interesting song with some spanish words in it that may not compare to la isla bonita but is still very strong and upbeat with singing about a girl who loves to fall in love and adds the catchy phrase "when you do your homework.
devil wouldn't recognize you 10/10 A very strong and magnetic song about her wanting to release her lover but keeps coming back to him more and more.
voices 7/10 A good collaboration with Justin Timberlake. Madonna carefully crafts an original masterpiece with this song with making the listener think about the societal master and slave roles.
All in all I think that this cd is perfect to listen to for a good and uplifting emotional boost.

 Dance into the light of phill collins hits, July 5, 2008
I purchased this cd when I visited Singapore a few years ago and I am happy that I bought this cd. This was the first of the cds that I had owned by Phil Collins and I believe that it was worh the money I spent. Why the 4 stars instead of the five? Currently I am 27 years old and I am happy to know that there are songs on this cd that I remember hearing on the radio and had first heard when I was growing up. I was delighted to hear "two hearts" a beautiful and upbeat song that I first heard when I was around 8 years old and "you can't hurry love". I also love "groovy kind of love", "one more night", "dance into the light" and "against all odds". There are other good songs on this cd but the ones I just mentioned happen to be some of my favorites. The only con was that I eventually had to buy a genesis greatest hits compilation to get some of the other great phil collin's songs(which I finally did last year and will review later). However if you are willing to look past this collection missing some of his other great songs you will honestly enjoy this cd. I know that I said it before but this cd is so good that I still play it even though its been a few years since I first bought it (I am 27 now and I remember first buying the cd when I was around 21-22 years of age). I also agree with the one reviewer that had stated that this cd is a good first place to start if this would be your first time owning a Phil Collins greatest hits collection.

This cd will definitely help you to feel alive, July 1, 2008
I have to agree with the reviewer who said that Trance Party 6 grows on you each listen. My favorite times to listen to this cd are right when I am getting ready to leave for work and also right before I am about to go out to other places. Many of the tracks on this cd are good to listen to but some of the standout tracks in my opinion are "I think I love you" by Balm, "raindrops" by Stunt, "alive' by da buzz and "satellites" by September.

This pure moods will surely take you to another dimension, July 1, 2008
I first heard of this cd when it was first advertised on tv in the 90's but honestly thought nothing of buying it. However in 2001 I happened to spot this cd when I was stationed in Japan and am happy to have spent my money on this cd. Due to the variety of the songs I feel that this cd is good to listen to at work , when you are spending time with your loved ones, and relaxing and nurturing yourself when you are alone. Some of the notable tracks that really stand out in a positive way for me are
"return to innocence" by enigma
"orinoco flow" by enya
"sweet lullaby" by deep forest
"tubular bells" by mike oldfield
"sadeness" by enigma
There are other good tracks on this cd that are also enjoyable. This album among the first in the pure moods collection lives up to its name in a positive way and is definitely worth purchasing.

songs even more interesting than the meteora title, July 1, 2008
This is a very strong cd by a group that is one of a kind. I first heard of this cd when I was stationed in California and have been listening to it ever since. In my opinion this cd expressed deep emotions and creativity that are in each of the members of the group in a very artistic and exciting way. Some of the songs that I really feel are fun and grow each listen are "somewhere I belong", "breaking the habit", "easier to run", and "lying from you". One of my coworkers who happens to be an exciting and interesting person gave me a copy of this cd that they downloaded and I am sure grateful they did. This is definitely an album that is worth your time and will grow on you each listen.

definitely the sound of rockstars, July 1, 2008
This album is so good that its honestly challenging of me to think of which ones are my favorites. This album will grow on you each listen. My husband got this album for me as a birthday gift and I am glad that he did. The reason being is that I really thought all of the songs on the cd are great. However my top five favorite songs on this cd are "animals", "if everyone cared", "rockstar", "saving me" and "follow you home". The thing that I like most about this cd is that it is an all purpose cd in the fact that you can listen to it in multiple occasions. I have listened to it on my way to and from work, when I go for walks outside, at work, and at home. The best thing about this cd is there are is going to a song for everyone that is on this album.

Automatically love this cd, June 29, 2008
This talented group really composed some exciting and fun songs of the 90's. I know that I may be dreaming but if only the group would get back together. I first heard of the group when I was around 14 and found them interesting back then. I heard a couple of their songs again when I was stationed in Japan and made a port stop in Australia. I finally committed to buying their greatest hits cd last year and I am happy to say that I did.
Here is my opinion on each of the songs:
Another Night 10/10 Definitely one of the classic songs that first got me interested in the group. This song is a fun europop song that makes it expressive on how the woman feels about her lover. I sensed a magical chemistry between the female and the male singer.
Run Away 9/10 An upbeat song that is very futuristic in my opinion and again I like the contrast of vocals between the singers.
Come and Get Your Love 8/10 You can picture that you are on the beach enjoying yourself with this song. I like the fun way that the vocals are combined with the beach and summer sounding music.
Automatic Lover 10/10 This is definitely one of my favorite songs on this cd. I love how the male singer sings the lyrics "get in touch with me" and how the female singer says in the song "I can't fight this feeling" and "I can't control myself". I found the male singers lyrics very sensual and the females lyrics very electrifying. This is one of the strongest songs on the cd.
One More Time 10/10 Another strong and great song on the cd. I thought that the upbeat music with the unique lyrics were combined together well. You can easily picture yourself at a club and/or skating rink with this song.
I Wanna Come 8/10 This song eventually grew on me and I liked the confidence that each of the singers conveyed in the song.
If Youre Not in it for love 7/10 A good dance version of Shania Twain's song. I like how the group makes it uniquely their own.
Tonight 7/10 An decent song that may not be the same as their other songs but I like how both singers are energetic in the song.
Love and Devotion 9/10 A beautiful upbeat song that expresses convincingly a couple's love for each other. The lyrics I really enjoy in the song are "you are the sunshine in my life" .
Ooh Boy 8/10 An interesting song about a female expressing her desire for the man but wants to make sure that despite his playboy past that she will be the one to share his love with him
Sleeping With An Angel 10/10 A really beautiful song that showed me a side to the male singer that I did not know existed and I like how harmoniously the female voices are blending in when they sing sleeping wth an angel I didn't know I could
Operator 10/10 A very futuristic and original song that makes a creative use of a robotic voice for "operator emergency"
If you would like some music to dance to and you definitely like dance, pop, and/or europop/eurodance then you will enjoy this cd.

The Exciting Sounds of the Scandinavian Underground, June 29, 2008
Definitely one of a kind is what I would call this unique and original cd. Listening to this cd definitely helped me imagine I was actually at a one of the dance clubs in Scandinavia. If you are looking for some futuristic dance sounds and a cd to raise your spirits I would definitely recommend this purchase. I wanted to get an idea on how some of the dance music sounds from Scandinavia and I am very delighted that I purchased this cd. Some of my favorite songs on this cd are "Last Thing" by Ephemera, "First Base On the Moon" and "Sexy Love" by Anneli Marian Drecker.

Ultimate Kylie Indeed, June 22, 2008
I would definitely recommend this cd to fans of Kylie Minogue and non fans alike. What I love about this cd is that many of these songs are beautifully compiled together in terms of time era. For example, if you want to listen to Kylie in the 80's and 90's for the moment you would definitely check out cd 1. However if you crave the songs from the 2000's with some from the 90's check out cd 2. One of my favorite songs on her compilation is "come into my world" while my husband's is "where the wild roses grow". Many of the gems that I love of hers are on these cds but my top other fave songs would have to be "red blooded woman", "can't get you out of my head", "on a night like this", "in your eyes" and "slow". I love the ultimate kylie collection because it is upbeat, cheerful, sensual, and erotic at the same time. Plus this collection is any gem that will appeal to various occassions. If you like pop and/or europop or dance you will love this collection. Obviously this is another purchase that I definitely feel is well worth the money.

Sensitized but Sensual, June 22, 2008
I would have to definitely say that Kylie Minogue fans would like this cd. I also agree with the other reviewer that this cd is pretty upbeat and will take you to a different dimension. Some of the strongest (and I admit my favorite tracks) on this cd are Two Hearts, Like a drug, Sensitized, and In my Arms. I just wish that this cd would have been more popular in the US. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars over 5 is because of my recommendation for Minogue fans versus non Minogue fans. This cd grew on me after the second listen and I admit that Minogue fans may enjoy it more. However if you are not a Kylie Minogue fan definitely try to check out her greatest hits cd first and then give this cd a listen. However overall I feel that this cd is good and its good to see her back in good form healthwise and producing a sensual and beautiful cd.

Definitely some of their best songs, June 22, 2008
This is definitely one of the best from Depeche Mode. Many of these songs exude creativity and emotion. They are also so believable where you can picture the lead singer David Gahan singing them to you. This is one of my favorite cds because when I first bought this cd I listened to it alot after work and its good for working out and making out. In my opinion what helps make this cd a masterpiece is many of these songs are creatively erotic and sensual but there are also some songs that appeal more to ones emotional side and spiritual side. In this cd there is something for everyone. Some of my favorites on this cd are just can't get enough, strangelove, dream on, personal jesus, people are people, walking in my shoes, and feel you. If you want a versatile cd that you can listen to on numerous occassions then your money spent on this cd is well worth it. This is is another classic that you will be happy to have bought.

Big Ones to Start Off With, November 14, 2008
First off I must begin this review that this is a good collection to start off with if you do not yet own any previous Aerosmith albums. Admittedly there are other good songs that Aerosmith made that were recorded after this album (such as "don't want to miss a thing"). However as an earlier review posted stated this is a good place to start if you would like to hear some of their 80's and early 90's stuff at a budget price. Some of the songs that I really liked on this cd are "love in an elevator" (9 out of 10),"rag doll" (10 out of 10),"Janie's Got a Gun" (8 out of 10), "Crazy" (9 out of 10), and "Living on the Edge" (10 out of 10). There are various good songs on this cd but for me the songs I just listed are some of the reasons why I still have this cd after first buying this cd when I was stationed in Japan (and the last time I was in Japan was October 2003). There are other collections that now carry a wide variety of the classic Aerosmith hits but this is one of the cd's to get if you are ok with collecting more than one greatest hits collection. In my opinion this cd would be a good primer.

annual fun of 2005, November 14, 2008
I had first heard of the annual collection because my husband had played some songs from an earlier collection of annual set cds he had when he and I were stationed in Japan. Around the holidays of 05 I felt compelled to get this for my husband and admittedly I ended up enjoying this too when he allowed me to play the cds in the house. Some of my personal favorites are "do you know" (track 9 on disc 2) and an interesting dance mix of my neck, my back. My husband seemed to like the cds and I felt what was an added bonus to this was the dvd that came with it. My husband sat down to watch it with me because it had some interesting songs and videos in it. Admittedly I like to listen to music such as this because it allows me to hear some of the music that is popular in the clubs in the UK while in the US. It also allows me the chance to experience these fun sounds as I am in the process of planning my dream to visit the UK. Plus listening to fun music like this takes me back to the positive memories I have of the fun times I had when I was stationed in Japan and started listening more extensively to a wide variety of dance, trance, and various types of music such as relaxing trance. Anyhow these cds are a good set along with the cd and are definitely worth consideration if you love dance and/or trance.

Shake It to the sound of Metro Station, November 11, 2008
Recently I decided to download this song on my zune player after being captivated by the sound and savoring it. It turns out that the vocals are sung by Trace Cyrus (Miley Cyrus's older brother). Although Trace is only 19 years old he really sings this song in a very self confident and mature way. Admittedly this is a song that you may not want to expose to somebody that is under 13 because the song has sexual undertones to it. The reason why I say this is because the song still has appropriate language to it but he sings about being on the bed with someone and their clothes on the floor (to his credit creatively). He also suggests in the song how he will take someone home if he's not left at the front door. However what makes the song great is that he sings the song creatively, self confidently, and narratively. The reason why is say that he sings this narratively is because it sounds like he is telling a short story about charming someone he is interested in while making sure to combine the singing in seamlessly. I agree with the others that say this is a good workout song too because the music is really upbeat and sounds like something you can easily dance to in the club or a party. It was also featured on one of the reality tv shows I was watching on mtv one night that features Lauren Conrad. All in all if you are fine with songs that have a dance pop twist and you are curious to listen to how Trace Cyrus sounds then in my opinion you will like this song.

The sound of sunshine, September 8, 2008
I recently downloaded this song on my zune player and I must say that this song is very beautiful and uplifting. I love the message in the song where she basically communicates that she will be strong and happy regardless of external circumstances. One of the high notes of the song is where she raises her voice methodically when she says "take me away" and I love how the vocals blend together in "I got a love that's mine" and the creative use of the ending lyrics "I know I'll be alright". This is definitely I song to listen to when you crave something that is energetic, upbeat, and will cheer you up. You can even listen to the song when you are already cheerful.

A Heavenly Read, July 30, 2008
This is a very creatively written book by I am for certain a very creative author. I enjoyed reading this book especially because it helps remind one that spiritually there is always help for one in the spiritual realms. This is a very creative and enlightening book on connecting to the spiritual/celestial realms for help and using your imagination to hire the celestial helpers for your everyday concerns to tap into the universal energy for assistance. It is a very brief but informative and entertaining read. Admittedly I was also persuaded by Janet's positive review of the book (thank you Janet) and am glad to have purchased it. I would definitely have to agree that this is a practical guide to developing working relationships with the spirits of creation and it gives interesting ideas on names to give for committees that you would hire based on concerns and holding "meetings" regarding the help you need. I personally have used some of the suggestions in this book and it has helped make my life easier. Definitely consider this guide if you are in the process of deciding.

Definitely a fine Euromix of greatest hits, July 25, 2008
I desired some uplifting and high energy music to work out to when I was working out before work and at times after work just last summer. This cd caught my attention and it turned out to be a satisfying purchase. My favorite song on the cd is "celebrate: by Dj Bobo and listening to this song alone made me eventually get his greatest hits (which is in a earlier review). The song "mr vain" by Culture Beat is also very noteworthy and gave me the high energy jolt I needed when listening to it before or after going to work and/or working out. "Rhythm of the night" by Corona took me back to my teenage years when I first heard the song and enjoyed it alot. "What is love" by Haddaway , "La, La, Hey Hey by the Outhere Brothers, "What's Up" by DJ Miko are also some strong and unique tunes that really get ones energy going. What I also love about the cd is the eclectic music of the various eurodance artists and the fact that this cd is so much fun and high energy at the same time. A good cd to help get your body moving.

Treat Your Ears to a wonderful dreamland, July 25, 2008
I have to agree with the fact that this cd has stood the test of time. I remember when the song "children" by Robert Miles first came out and I was still a teenager then. Fast forward some years later and I decide to take a leap of faith and buy this cd and what honestly helped my decision was overwhelmingly positive reviews. Listening to this cd gives good reason for the numerous positive reviews. Listening to many songs on this cd makes you feel in a positive way that you are in some type of beautiful and mystical dreamland. This cd is a gem because of all the songs on the cd being beautiful, high energy, and upbeat. Some of the most noteworthy songs on this cd are of course the classical "children", "one and one", and both versions of the "fable". This is especially a good cd to listen to during the summer but all year round would still be fine. If you would like to treat yourself to some beautiful music that is a departure from some of the more mainstream music and songs this is one of the cds to go to. Its so unique that I would classify it somewhere between europop and eurodance but in its own category. This is also some good music to listen to if you want to nurture yourself.

Follow your intuition and obtain this cd, July 5, 2008
An easy five stars for the singers beautiful voice and very beautiful, heavenly, and uplifting music. I only wished that I had purchased the cd sooner but needless to say was ecstatic when I did. Every track on this cd is strong, upbeat, and fun to where you can honestly play this whole cd through and through. The duo have good musical chemistry together on this cd. I honestly listen to this cd the whole way through when I play it but some of the songs that I really like are "I see right through to you", "Intuition", "Walking in the Sky", and "High on Life". This is another classic eurodance album that will definitely be remembered as one of the tops. All in all a very joyful and fun album that I would recommend easily.

Unique and Pleasurable 90's Club Music, July 5, 2008
I'm lucky to have had the chance to purchase Pharao by Pharao in 2008 when I was living in Norfolk Virginia. I had previously heard Secrets by Pharao on the radio around the time I was 14-15 years old. I ended up paying only 5 dollars and 96 cents (including the shipping cost) for a fantastic cd. One reason why I feel this way is because Pharao by Pharao is one of those cds where many of the other songs are even better than the one or two songs that were used to promote the cd. For instance, I remember Secrets and There Is A Star were two of the amusing songs that were promoted on the radio when I first heard their music as a teenager. However, World of Magic, Gold In The Pyramid, Beautiful Flower of The Bad, and Rave Like An Egyptian are other merry tunes on this cd that transport one back into a euphoric state of mind akin to being in a 90's theme Eurodance club.

every little song he does is magic, July 5, 2008
This was the first album that I purchased that was by Sting and I am so glad that I acted on my hunch to get this cd. I love how he magically melds very creative songwriting lyrics with his very unique voice. There are quite a few good tracks on this album. Some of my favorites are "every little thing she does is magic", "if you love somebody set them free". "if I ever lose my faith in you", "fields of gold", "brand new day" and "desert rose". I grew up listening to his music on the radio and finally decided to buy one of his cd's last year. I also love how confident his voice sounds in the songs. If you like 80's music, classic soft rock and/or pop and you want to hear a mix of 80's and 90's I would definitely recommend this cd.

Very compelling, February 10, 2010
For an international politics class, the teacher recommended that this movie is watched. Consequently, I chose to go ahead and watch the movie and it was very dramatic but a good plot. It really does depict (even for a 1930's movie) that war is serious business and can change the spirit of even the most emotionally strong person. It is set from the perspective of young German soldiers post World War 1 but before World War 2 (some as young as 16). The actors did such a good job in this movie that they are very convincing as soldiers on the German side. Admittedly this movie is more to watch if you are open to understanding the dynamics of World War 1. Although this movie left me wanting to watch something more cheerful by tomorrow, I can honestly say that this movie is very good and has a strong plot with very convincing actors.

Magical Delivery Service, December 2, 2009
This was a wonderful and uplifting anime about a young and powerful 13 year old witch who moves in a new town with her magical cat to embark on a new life. At first she recieves a frosty reception when she tries to befriend the locals. Over time, she is taken in by a caring woman who is about to become a mother and owns a bakery with her husband. Kiki starts her own delivery service and eventually makes friends and connects with some of the people in the story on a deep spiritual level. Along the way, through her challenge of temporarily losing her power to fly she discovers that the key to her power lies in trusting her spirit and believing in herself. This is also a very happy and uplifting movie. I am very happy to have found out about this movie through amazon and I would highly recommend this magical gem of a movie if you love to watch anime that will help give you an emotional boost and feelings of joy and upliftment.

Heartfelt and Empowering, October 3, 2009
After viewing this dvd, I can honestly say that it helped me to feel more empowered about my future knowing that I can learn to see different future scenarios for myself. Admittedly, much of this dvd is discussed around some very interesting world predictions (one must watch the dvd to find out). However, even though the content is different from what I expected it was still worthwhile to know some interesting world predictions and to know that one can learn how to create the best future for themselves. It was interesting (in a positive way) to discover that Paul Mckenna is one of her clients. Also, I thought that she handled herself with class, composure, and grace during the questioning session when she was being questioned by a fellow medium. All, in all this is a good dvd if one would like to get a taste of some future predictions and to get a glimpse of some of Anne's spiritual philosophies.

Soft, Relaxing, and Uplifting, October 3, 2009
This very catchy music on this cd is indeed soft, relaxing, and uplifting. If you have an urge to listen to this calming cd I highly recommend "Super groovie style", "desire", "magical moment", "summer girl", "suddenly" and "Angel on Earth". Every song on this cd is superb but the tracks I just recommended are ones to listen to when you prefer and emotional boost that is simultaneuously uplifting and calming.

"A Wicked Garden of Greatest Hits", September 12, 2009
I was fortunate to get the chance to find this gem of a cd at my local library (it carries a wonderful selection of cd's). I was glancing through the cd selection and this greatest hits compilation of Stone Temple Pilots caught my attention. All in all I really enjoyed this cd and I felt that many of these songs showcases Scott Weiland's strong singing voice and the originality and creativity of him and his band. However I do agree with the other reviewer that the song "Unglued' would have been a good addition to the cd. If you enjoy many forms of rock music then this cd will be enjoyable. In my opinion the whole cd was great to listen to but the tracks that one will find themselves going back to are "Vasoline", "Wicked Garden", "Big Empty", "Plush", "Creep", "Interstate Love Song" and "Sex Type Thing". Any fan of 90's "alternative rock" would be happy to add this cd to their music selection.

Definitely a book on the Light, September 5, 2009
I checked this book out from the library today after being drawn to it. I must say that this is a very beautifully written book about a woman who shared some interesting insights she gleaned from her near death experience. One of the wonderful insights that I gleaned from what she shared is on page 58 and 59 that she learns during hear near death experience that imagination is the key to reality. It was interesting for her to also note that simply by thinking positive thoughts and speaking positive words we attract positive energy. Also interesting she shares how some people come to earth with their powers of imagination already developed. She then adds detail to note that there are gifted people who are able to use their imaginations to create new things: both wonderful and its opposite. She also elaborates on this helpful tidbit by mentioning that the ones who use their gifted imaginations in positive ways to the betterment of those around them truly create joy and are blessed. She also shares other interesting information in the book. What I included in the review is just a taster. All in all I would definitely have to say that this book about her near death experience was written in an interesting way with much love and light.

Circus of Fun, January 1, 2009
Once again Britney creates a musical masterpiece that surpasses the quality of her cd "Blackout". "Blackout" was a good album but "Circus" from my modest opinion is an even better album. I would even go as far to say that because of the greatness in the "Circus" album she will go on to sell many tickets for her upcoming tour which will make it one of the most successful musical tours of 2009. The following are a rundown of my opinion on the songs that led me to feel this way.
Womanizer 10 out of 10 A tongue in cheek of song regarding how even though the man she is singing about is charming that there is no way she is going to fall under his charm. A couple of the places that this exciting video to this song can be viewed through yahoo music and youtube
Circus 10 out of 10 This song is even better than Womanizer. This song she sings very confidently about the exciting show she puts on for others that is entertaining. Plus she emphasizes in this song that when it comes to men she likes the ringleader who calls the shots and she likes a firecracker where she can make it hot. Either way this song is a very fun song that also has an exciting video that can be posted on youtube and yahoo music.
Out From Under 9 out of 10 A very touching song and a unique ballad on how she can't look back in her love life on what could have been. I love how she beautifully sings that she will just figure it out when she's out from under.
Kill The Lights 10 out of 10 A song that is reminiscent of "Piece of Me" but expresses how she is more ready to face the paparazzi on her own terms.
Shattered Glass 10 out of 10 A great standout song about her asking an ex lover in her life if it was worth throwing away what they had for the end of their love relationship and confidently expressing that the time will come when she will be missed and wanted back. On a side note (admittedly just my opinion) I would not be suprised if her musical art ended up imitating life and one of her unnamed exes does possibly end up missing her and desiring her back.
If U Seek Amy 10 out of 10 It is very cool and unique how she starts off the song and how she carefully expresses her voice when she says lalalalala and then allows it to raise as the song starts to begin. She expresses how people can say what they want about her regardless how they feel about her but she artistically sings in a rhetoric tone "but can't you see what I see"
Unusual You 10 out of 10 A very beautiful song on how she finds someone in her life that calls when he says he does and is so good to her that this is unusual to her and how she expects this unusual person to break her heart because in her words only an angel can be so unusually nice and kind to her. This is an entertaining song but it is my hope that this song is just entertainment to her and that she does believe and realize that she deserves to be loved for who she is in real life. Aside from these few caveats this is a good song.
Blur 9.5 out of 10 A fantastic song about how the morning after is a blur to her because she is trying to recall how she ended up next to someone she is unfamiliar with and figuring out what she was doing the night before. It would be interesting to play this in a club and to see what a video of this song looks like.
MMm Papi 10 out of 10 She is expressing in the song how she desires the person in her song and her faith that the object of her desire will be there for her. Its funny and cool when she sings mmm papi love you A catchy song that will surely stick in your head
Mannequin 8 out of 10 Truthfully after a few listens to the song I am still trying to understand the full meaning to this song. What I get from this song is that someone wants her and that she will do her thing and that they will like it. I give her credit for her artistic creativity and innovation in this song but admittedly there are other songs on this cd that I like more.
Lace and Leather 10 out of 10 She sings about taking charge for her and her lover in the bedroom with lace and leather but that she is the one who will call the shots because its her show. She tells her lover to take a seat in the song because the fantasy will be on her. An erotic, sensual, and catchy song rolled into one.
My Baby 7.5 out of 10 Admittedly even though this is a song that I like least on the cd it still has grown on me each listen. This was especially the case after someone at my job told me how this is her favorite song on the cd so I decided to listen to it again to give it more of a try. Truthfully this is the only song that was just a 7.5 on my cd but thats mainly because it was so quiet and slower compared to the rest of the songs. This is a good song to listen to when you want to relax for the day because she beautifully sings about how much she loves her baby. Even though baby is obviously singular you can tell she is metaphorically paying tribute to her two beautiful children that I feel she loves very much. So even though I may have felt it was a 7.5 there may be others who will understandably rate it higher.
Radar 10 out of 10 An exciting and fun song from the "Blackout" album where she expresses some of the qualities she desires in a guy with some of her lyrics "confidence is a must" "cockiness is a plus" She turns having a crush into a stylish and fun situation with this song.
Overall if you liked the "Blackout" album you will like this album even more. Even people that are new to her albums will also like this cd. The $9.99 that I paid for this cd was definitely a good value for the various great songs that are on this cd. You can tell by this album that she is definitely getting better and better. Anyhow, whether you are a fan of Britney Spears or not if you are fine with listening to pop, top 40, and/or dance/club music then you will definitely love this album. You will definitely find yourself singing along and moving to many of these songs on this album.

I was compelled to purchase this cd after finding out that it was being released. I own and love "all the right reasons" so it was honestly natural for me to purchase "dark horse". Needless to say I feel that this cd is even better than "all the right reasons" which is saying alot because "all the right reasons" was a birthday gift given to me by my husband which I enjoyed alot. Here are the songs listed on the cd and my rating of each of them (1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest)
1. "Something In Your Mouth" 10 out of 10-An extremely fun song about a woman who has many wealthy men lust after her. I like how they mix the vocals of "dirty little lady with the little pink thong every sugar daddy hittin on her all night long doesn't care about the money she could be with anybody ain't it funny how the hunny wanted you all along" and the the guitar wonderfully speeds up.
2."Burn It To The Ground" 10 out of 10 this song is very reminiscent of 80's rock with a fun modern feel, I like how they expressively yell in the song when they sing the chorus to "we're going off tonight" and mix it harmoniously with the fast guitars in the song.
3. "Gotta Be Somebody" 9 out of 10 This is a really good love song that magically works because many people can relate to the song and the drums are really methodic in the song. My favorite lyrics in the song (because they are full of heartfelt emotions)are "cause nobody wants to be the last one there, everyone wants to feel like someone cares, someone to love with my life in their hands, there's gotta be somebody for me like that"
4."I'd Come For You" 10 out of 10 A beautiful makeup song that expresses how one feels at time when they want to express how much someone means to them in the midst of them wanting to right things. My favorite lyrics to this song"no matter what gets in my way, as long as there's still life in me, no matter what remember You know I'll always come for you
5."Next Go Round" A very sexual song that explains the singers intent to to make it with his conquest until the sun comes up but the way he expresses how he wants to do this works because it paints a very artistic picture in a fun musical way. Very fast guitars are included perfectly with this song. Needless to say this is one song to makeout to (and other things too graphic to say in a review but you pretty much get the idea).
6. "Just To Get High" 7outof 10 The only reason why I gave this song a seven is because it is more on the depressive side. However to the band's credit they describe the consequences of letting drugs rule ones life with lyrics such as "but I remember what his face looked like when I found him in an alley in the middle of the night". This song would go best with a powerpoint presentation on the reasons to be drugfree for a presentation to ones in high school and/or other organizations wanting to do emphasize the reasons to be drug free
7."Never Gonna Be Alone" 9 out of 10 A very romantic side of nickelback that I like illustrated in lyrics such as "time is going by so much faster than I and I'm starting to regret not spending all of it with you" I also like the lyrics when they sing in the song "we're gonna take the world on, I'll hold you till the hurt is gone" and the soft guitars that harmoniously go well with it.
8 "Shakin Hands" 10 out of 10 A very stripperlike song that will for sure be played in strip clubs across the country. The song illustrates how a woman became wealthy working just 3 days a work using her "skills" in a very sexual way with lyrics such as "well she aint no cinderella when she getting undressed" "cause she rocks it like the naughty wicked witch of the west" "far too pretty to be givin it cheap, that's why she's makin 6 figures working 3 days a week" The way that nickelback creatively weaves it into one interesting story song makes it hard to not like this catchy song.
9. "S.E.X. A Definite 10 out of 10 I can't help it but this song honestly grows on me each time I listen to it. The reason why is because of the catchy pleasure lyrics of the song such as No is a dirty word, never gonna say it first no is just the thought that never crosses my mind, (later on in the song)"I'd love to try to set you free, all of you all over me I'd love to hear the sound you make the second you're done"Admittedly there are other lyrics in it that stick out to the point where its honestly played like its actually being sung to you. One has to be in touch with their sensuality to be comfortable enjoying this song. Needless to say this is honestly another song to makeout to (and other things admittedly too graphic to mention in this review but you can pretty much imagine the possibilities with this song).
10. "If Today Was Your Last Day" 9 out of 10 A really beautiful song that reminds one to relish and enjoy each day as one to be cherished and treasured. The meaning of the song can best be summed up in the first part of it with the lyrics "my best friend gave me the best advice, he said each day's a gift and not a given right". I really like how the lead singer raises his voice to match the meaning of this song and then lowers it at the right time to emphasize if today was your last day. An emotional and caring side to nickelback that is expressed very artistically, creatively, and philosophically.
11."This Afternoon" 6.5 out of 10-Admittedly I give it points for the effort put forth by the band to create a feel good song but admittedly this song just did not resonate with me but with others it will. I give the group credit for including humour in the song when they mention "we got weeds in the backyard 4 feet tall" "cheech and chong probably would have smoked them all"This song and "Just to Get High" were the only 2 songs that did not get over an 8 from my perspective.
All in all this is a great cd that grew on me each listen and I have enjoyed it even more than All the Right Reasons. If you definitely love rock music I would recommend you add this to your music collection.

Despite the title, this song is actually a pleasure to listen to. I must first start off by saying how much I love the fact that that Three Days Grace manages to turn a song about love involving pain into a genius art form. This is another fun song that I have on my zune player and I like how he expresses himself when he sings lyric such as "trust me and take my hand" "when the lights go out you will understand" and then the song pauses for s split second before he belts out pain among the right timed guitars to help break the pause. He raises his voice some times during the songs but he does it at the right times in the songs such as in the end of it and at one of my favorite moments in the song when he sings "I'm always here for you" "Iknow, I know, I know, I know that you'll thank me later". The lead singer's awesome voice goes perfect with this song.Anyhow, the interesting thing about this song is that if you would like to listen to a sensual erotic song that falls under the hard rock/alternative rock genre then this song would be a must have in your musical collection. It's been a couple of years since this song came out but I am still enjoying it and I am glad to have it as part of my musical collection. This song is definitely recommended for rock music lovers amd even music lovers that may only be lightly into rock but would like to add something different to their musical collection.

Give It to your ears, November 24, 2008
I honestly felt compelled to write a review of this song after seeing an updated picture of him with the rest of the members of the nkotb group from celebrity pictures featured on yahoo.com and watching a video for this on youtube. Originally I first heard of this song around 1999 when I was 19 years old when I first bought the cd single version of this song at the mall. Fast forward some years later in 2008 when I purchase my zune player and download the single to the zune player. The reasons why I like to have this song on my zune is the same reason why I liked the song back in 1999. Some of the reasons are: a unique carnival sound at the begining and end of the song. The carnival (fairground music) makes more sense once you watch the video to it (youtube has a video to it). Plus I honestly feel mesmerized when he sings in a very confident and melodic voice when he sings the lyrics throughout the song but some of my favorite parts are "you say its been to long" (where he raises his voice) and then lowers it when he says "light the fire that's burning inside". You honestly feel he's singing to you when he sings "you think that I'm the one you see in your dreams". Admittedly this song has some sexual undertones to it so only listen if you are ok with hearing sexually suggestive songs. On the plus side this song's lyrics and the music go together really well and despite the time when it first came out it is still a good song to listen to.

I must first start off my review by admitting that I mainly purchased it at the recommendation from one of my former bosses who recommended these episodes to me because he wanted to help. He wanted me to see the benefits and rewards of doing things unconventional to stand out. After watching this collection I am glad I did(via the tapestry episode where Picard experiences a near death experience. Truthfully my former superior's recommendation and John De Lancie's superb acting that I observed in my first viewing of the collection was the reason why I watched this whole q collection because he really brought to life the "godlike" q character and showed compassion and humanity in someone who I thought was the villian. There are 12 exciting episodes in this collection. Admittedly when you start watching them and you get the 4 disc cd set that I did you may end up watching just 1-2 cds max a day depending on your schedule. One of the episodes that stands out for me is Q2 because one of John De Lancie's actual sons in real life stars with him in that episode. Due to John De Lancie playing a very powerful and godlike character I would highly recommend you watch the discs in order to understand better what is going on in the mind of "Q" You see various sides of the Q character in the collection such as "Q" in love and relationships in episodes such as "The Q and the Grey", Q serving as mentoring and adviser in "True Q"
Q as judge and decider of fate: Encounter at Farpoints 1+2
Q shocked by his "punishment" being a human and having to humble himself by admitting to needing assistance: "Deja Q"
Q playing matchmaker and desiring to understand Picards fascination with a certain love interest including his own fascination with her :"Qpid"
Q questioning his own beliefs about conformity when another q desires suicide in: Death Wish
Overall this was a good cd set about a godlike character who strengthens the members of the startrek crew on a spiritual and emotional level by putting them through a series of tests that teach them information but John De Lancie's Q character ends up learning some lessons himself from the crew as well along the way. A quality dvd set by quality actors especially with John De Lancie's character injecting life into these series. I honestly wasn't sure what I was getting myself into when I went ahead and bought the dvds at a superior officer's recommendation despite not having watched the whole startrek series myself but now I can honestly say that I am glad that I bought these dvds and I feel that you will be glad too if you are still in the process of contemplating.

My husband and I had the blessing to watch it because of his subscription to Netflix. What I enjoyed about the movie was that Will Ferrell's story and life was being created by an author who had at first is unaware that her character is actually a real life human being. The author in this story is played by Emma Thompson. The author's assistant is played by Queen Latifah. Both Emma Thompson and Queen Latifah play a convincing duo that learn how to work with as well as understand each other harmoniously. The chemistry being Maggie Gyllenhaal's character and Will Ferrell's is amazing as well. Dustin Hoffman plays a convincing lover of stories who helpfully tries to determine the root cause of Will Ferrell's concern at finding out the voice that he is hearing. If you like the idea of a person being aware that his story is being created by a force other than himself then do yourself a favor and watch it. In conclusion, this is a wonderful Will Ferrell movie that showcases his fine acting skills.

In my opinion, this cd is a good place to begin if this is your first Van Halen cd. Both of the David Lee Roth songs and Sammy Hagar songs on this cd are great. My overall favorite cd on the song is "Dreams". The thing I like about this cd is that it features songs by both David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar. This is a good cd to put in your stereo player when you need an emotional energy boost. Admittedly, I wish that the song "Finish what you started" was on this cd but this greatest hits compilation is a good taster of Van Halen songs for a person starting to listen to Van Halen cds. The top five songs on the cd are:
#1 Dreams (10 out of 10)-a wonderful song about going after your dreams regardless of the outer circumstances that come up. I first heard this wonderful song as a teenager when I was at a soccer game of one of my cousins who was playing at a university in Indiana.
#2 Right Now (10 out of 10)- a good song on seizing the moments in your life, hence right now. Its also encouraging one to go after what they plan immediately.
#3 Can't Stop Lovin You (9 out of 10) A heartwarming song about how the love for the other person endures regardless of the challenges that appear.
#4 Why Can't this be Love (9 out of 10)- an interesting song about how the person is ready to go the next step in their relationship with the one they care about and they're wondering why take time in going to the next level when the chemistry already exists in that relationship.
#5 Jump-(9 out of 10)- an energetic song on how a person needs to go ahead and make the leap towards what they think or desire regardless of how challenging it may seem. An encouraging and motivating song in the same positive spirit as "Dreams"(with the soul of Sammy Hagar) but with the soul of David Lee Roth.
All in all the compilation is a good to listen to when you want to give yourself a good emotional boost towards feeling joyful.

A very fun and feel good soundtrack that will give you an emotional boost and leave you feeling happy. This cd is a wonderful medley of various songs from various genres that make you think of summer fun and carefree good times where you enjoy yourself and have fun with those you care about. The soundtrack has a wide range of good songs. Some of my favorite songs on the cd are "I've Had the time of My Life" by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warner, "Hungry Eyes "by Eric Carmen, and "She's like the Wind" by Patrick Swayze and Eric Fraser. What is really special about the "She's Like the Wind" song was that is served as a special dedication from Patrick Swayze to his wife when he was still alive. I find this beautiful and heartwarming because it is obvious that the late Patrick Swayze and his wife shared true and lasting love because they were married from 1975 until this year when he passed away. If you are open to various musical genres that leave you feel free and energetic then please purchase this cd. This cd is one of the classics that only gets better with time.

This was a wonderful movie about a young woman (played by Jennifer Grey) who learns the way of the world and has fun while learning to dance under the free spirit of Johnny Castle's character (played by Patrick Swayze). This movie really captured the natural dancing and acting talent that both Jennifer and Patrick have. I remember some time ago (it was either 2007 or 2008) when the E series channel featured a special on the characters from the "Dirty Dancing" movie. It mentioned about Jennifer Grey having had cosmetic surgery done. Admittedly, it is just my personal opinion but observing Jennifer's beauty in the movie made me think that it was unnecessary to alter her appearance. When I watched the movie I thought that she was naturally beautiful. Her and Patrick had strong chemistry on the screen as playing dancers who have a zest for life. This is a very fun dancing movie with many wonderful and uplifting songs such as "She's Like the Wind" (by the late great Patrick Swayze) and "Time of my life". Yes, this movie may be from the 80's but it is definitely a movie to watch and savor like you would your favorite popsicle that evokes good times and exciting times.

This animated movie is so good that I would rate this up there with Toy Story 3. Steve Carrell plays supervillian Gru who is determined to steal the moon. In the midst of creating his plot, he enlists the help of his assistant Dr. Nefario (voiced by Russell Brand) and some fun minions that are very humorous. He decides to take in three sisters for his own personal ulterior motives, and unexpectedly find that they bring joy to the void that he feels in his life. What I like about Steve's Gru character is that he plays a conniving villian with a heart of gold. Overall, this is a great animated creation that is going to simultaneously make you laugh and feel an increased sense of happiness by the time you get done watching it.

Journeys of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, September 6, 2010
This dvd has two wonderful cartoon shorts dividing up the story of Mr. Ichabod and Mr. Toad. Mr. Toad winds up on some grand journeys with some great friends, and ends up reclaiming his good name after being framed. Luckily for him, the wonderful friends he has are instrumental in helping him restore his reputation. Mr. Ichabod plays a man full of charm and a love of life that gets along well with others. It is a great cartoon for both adult and kids, but there are certain scenes in the Ichabod cartoon that may be a little on the intense side for some children under 3 years old. What I also like are the bonuses included. One of the bonuses involves playing a game where you must answer questions correctly to get to Toad Hall. If you can answer tham without getting four tires then you can get a nice bonus at the end in the form of another cartoon short. I played the game and thought it was pretty fun, plus the mini cartoon that I got to see as a result of it was pretty creative (a car version of the little engine that could). Watching this dvd is definitely worth it, especially considering the bonuses included.

A Primer on the Law of Attraction, September 4, 2010
Let me start off by saying that I think it is a great thing that the makers of the secret wrote a book for teens on the law of attraction. This book can be read by someone of all ages. The two techniques that interested me were the check writing and scripting for changing your life in a joyful manner. However, the reason why I give this book four stars instead of five stars is because of the section on relationships. Yes, it is true that self-love and self-esteem is imporant in attracting loving people in your life. However, saying that one's thoughts attract back how their parents are treating them is excluding the fact that some kids get abused by their parents regardless of how respectful and loving they may be to them. The author of this book means well and has a healthy and happy relationship with their children. However, not every parent gives their children the love and encouragement they so deserve through the growing years and this book could include more information for a teenager that may be enduring abuse on how to escape. Also, telling an abused teenager that their thoughts attracted the physical and emotional abuse from their parents does more harm than good. Telling them just to use their thoughts to change their parents behavior is downright dangerous. If you or someone you know is enduring abuse please call this hotline: 1'800'799'SAFE (7233). For any survivors of abuse (whether teenager or adult) that got away from their parents please know that spiritually you are not alone. If you are a survivor of abuse and are considering whether or not to read this book I would first recommend that you either read Living with Joy by Sanaya Roman or Ask Your Guides by Sonia Choquette and then read the Secret to Teen Power. However, because of the positive uplifting stories contained in this book and helpful techniques such as the scripting method to attract more loving relationships, I still rate it four stars. I would just recommend that any survivors of abuse might benefit from first turning to any of the Sanaya Roman or Sonia Choquette books and then read "The Secret to Teen Power.

A Town Called Comical, September 4, 2010
This playful and funny movie is created around some funny toylike characters that live in a town that is brought to life with their colorful personalities. Two of the characters named Cowboy and Indian want to suprise their roommate Horse with a memorable birthday. They definitely achieve that in a different way than what was originally imagined when too many bricks are accidently ordered. They had planned on using the bricks to create a barbecue maker for Horse, but they naturally have to use the bricks for other means when the delivery comes and it is then discovered that too many bricks were ordered. Luckily for Cowboy and Indian, they end up being able to get the help of other members of the town to keep Horse occupied while they try to fix the problem. Both Cowboy and Indian are a little scared of Horse, which adds a dimension to why they at first try to conceal the mistake from horse. Cowboy, Indian, and Horse also wind up on some unexpected adventures that end up involving other members of the town when it is discovered that someone is taking the bricks that they are constructing. This film is a great laugh out loud treat that one is going to enjoy if they especially like films such as Wallace and Gromit and family friendly entertainment.

The Castle of Excitement, September 4, 2010
I really enjoyed this movie from start to finish. This story has a man called Lupin, who finds himself drawn to go to Cagliostro to break inside the castle of the ruling Count to discover what lies in there. His friend Daisuke accompanies him. He also ends up meeting Clarisse, princess of Cagliostro, and finds himself drawn to also saving her from having to marry the Count of the castle. If I had to compare a real life country where this movie is set, then I would have to guess Luxembourg. Lupin realizes that he needs help to take on the Count of Cagliostro so he uses his charm to obtain help in achieving his objectives of finding out what is going on inside the castle and safely going through his adventures. The Castle of Cagliostro is a family version of anime meets James Bond, so it is luckily safe for youngsters under thirteen to watch with an adult. If you like anime or any other family friendly and uplifting cartoons, then this movie is a definite must see.

The Other Comedians, September 4, 2010
Mark Wahlberg (plays as Terry Hoitz) and Will Ferrell(as Allen Gamble) play two hilarious detectives who start out despising each other, but end up having to join forces in cracking down on crime. Two of their departments's superstars (played by Dwayne Johnson and Samuel L Jackson) recieve accolades and positive attention for the good work they do as detectives. Naturally, Detective Terry wants in on some of the action and positive attention that the superstars are getting for their work. Naturally, Allen is at first hesitant in joining Terry to get some of the glory of being known as a top detective. When Allen and Terry do finally join forces it turns into an adventure full of laughs that the two are going to remember. This is definitely a movie to see if you love either Mark Wahlberg or Will Ferrell, and if you want a movie that is going to make you laugh.

One of Leo's best movies, September 4, 2010
I must start this review by saying that of course that movie contained other good acting performances by the other actors and actresses in the movie. However, the reason that Leonardo Di Caprio stands out in a good way in this movie is due to the fact that I feel that he has given one of his best performances since "Titanic". I, like many others, first heard of him through the movie "Titanic". Leo plays as Domm Cobb, one of the men who has a very influential role in getting information from others through their dreams. Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays Arthur, as Leo's competent assistant who helps him recruit a reluctant protege (Ellen Page) to help in accomplishing a job given out to him by Mr. Saito, the tourist. Along the way Dom and Arthur mastermind getting help from others to accomplish their dream assignments. The plot is very well put together with vivid imagery on how dreams can turn out. If you liked Leonardo DiCaprio in "Titanic'", then it is a safe bet that you are going to like "Inception" because the acting is superb from Leo and the other actors and actresses involved in the movie.

Red Hot Hits, July 19, 2010
I definitely concur that this cd has a good medley of Red Hot Chili Pepper's Hits. I also love that there are a wide range of songs for different emotions such as Under the Bridge when a someone wants to listen to something to calm their emotions and others such as "Give it Away" when you want an emotional energy boost. The following are a rundown of the songs and a brief info on each:
1. Under The Bridge 10 out of 10 - A song that is about feeling alone, but having the consolation of living in L.A. I also like how Anthony Kiedis sings a creative mini narrative at the end of the song's chorus when he mentions about what happened when under the bridge downtown.
2. Give It Away 10 out of 10- A RHCP classic about being generous and giving with what you can in life with happiness and enthusiasm. He then energetically sings about what he has to give away. This is a high energy song to listen to when you need an emotional boost, and the song is good for working out to or running a couple miles to as well.
3. Californication 10 out of 10- A strong song about some of the symbolisms of California culture and what makes it a state worth dreaming about.
4. Scar Tissue 10 out of 10- A very dramatic song about sharing with the birds a lonely view, from what I take the references made are metaphoric.
5. Soul To Squeeze 10 out of 10- From what I take in this song, there are some very deep emotions that are being released and expressed, but that he is also going to take it easy along the way.
6. Otherside 10 out of 10- A very dramtic number about going through some psychological and other life challenges and the thoughts of what are being experienced.
7. Suck My Kiss 10 out of 10- A major makeout song with creatively put together sexual innuendos. It is an upbeat song, but also one that a person would want to use discretion in playing around someone younger than 13 years of agel
8. By The Way 9 out of 10- A fast energy song involving metaphoric adventures of people that are to be met and places to go.
9. Parallel Universe 8 out of 10- This is a very creative number about an emotional journey that the singer is going through that is making way for a spiritual rebirth.
10. Breaking The Girl 10 out of 10- A very good song about a special woman who has impacted the singer's life, but simultaneously had her heart broken.
11. My Friends 10 out of 10- A great song about how he learned the meaning of happiness from a little girl who taught him to express his love unconditionally at an important time when people in his close circle were striving to feel better emotionally.
12. Higher Ground 10 out of 10- A Stevie Wonder inspired masterpiece about perservering and to keep going on life regardless of what happens.
13. Universally Speaking 8 out of 10- Another song about adventures that he has with someone.
14. Road Trippin' 10 out of 10- This is about taking enjoying the journey in life in general, and when he (the lead singer) mentions go get lost, I think he means to just let go and peacefully accept and enjoy where one goes in life.
15. Fortune Faded 8 out of 10- A song about coming out of adversity in life as a much stronger and resilient person.
16. Save The Population 9 out of 10- A well constructed song involving how the actions of one person or multiple can affect the group of others (hence save the population)
This cd is very enjoyable and can definitely make you think because of the metaphorical meanings. I do agree that there are some hits that could have been on this cd. Two of the favorite songs I would have like to see are "Aeroplane" and "Around the World". However, this greatest hits collection is a very well crafted put together compilation nonetheless.

Third Time Even More Charming, July 10, 2010
Toy Story Three was definitely a strong and fun animated movie. The beginning of the movie finds Andy's toys figuring out a way to stay in his life when he packs up to head off to college. Unexpectedly, they find themselves working together to get out of some sticky daycare adventures they find themselves in courtesy of a bear that turns out to be different from what he appears and his assistant Big Baby. The group of Andy's end up realizing even more the importance of teamwork to help stay together. I also thought the addition of the Barbie and Ken characters added some creativity and life to the animation. However, the two main characters of Toy Story 3 were Buzz Lightyear and Woody, who were very much brought to life in an excellent fashion. There were other toys that were creatively woven into the story (such as Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, Stretch, Chunk, Sparks, Jack-In-the box and others that appeared) , but the characters of Buzz Lightyear and Woody were animated to play visible roles in the evolution of the plot. The plot was effectively constructed to wrap up the ending of the Toy Story 3 trilogy in a cohesive manner.

Magical Totoro, May 12, 2010
This is a very feel good movie for both adult and kids about two girls named Satsuki and Mei who have very strong and creative imaginations. They end up moving to a gorgeous countryside with their father and embark on very powerful adventures with a being named Totoro. The movie starts off ok, but the plot gets better as time goes by. Luckily for the Satsuki and Mei they happen to have a caring and open-minded father. Their professor father takes care of the girls with an abundance of love and patience while their mother is recuperating in the hospital. They end up experiencing some very spiritual adventures created from their very powerful and creative adventures. The beings that they meet are very loving and benevolent. I believe that the strong message of this story is that things are not always as they seem and one's imagination can open one up to the blessings and miracles of life. This movie will leave you with a smile on your face. My husband was unsure of watching the movie with me, but he too happened to enjoy the movie once he gave it a chance. Overall a strong Miyazaki movie with a positive element about the power of a child's imagination.

Exciting and Action Packed, May 7, 2010
Both my husband and I had originally planned to see this movie because we both saw the first Iron Man movie together and enjoyed it. After viewing the Iron Man 2 movie today, we both are glad to have seen it. For starters, if you thought highly of the first Iron Man movie, it is safe to say that you are going to enjoy the second. In addition, I felt that the plot to the first Iron man movie was excellent and well developed. I was uncertain if Iron Man 2 was going to top the first one in action and excitement. Let me say that Iron Man 2 was even better than the first for those who wonder if this is the case. In addition, when Terrence Howard was dropped after the first Iron Man and replaced by Don Cheadle to be Tony Stark's (Robert Downey Jr's) sidekick in Iron Man 2, I was also unsure how this would play out. Needless to say, Don Cheadle did a fine job as Iron Man's sidekick in this movie. Admittedly, the character that I enjoyed the most was Robert Downey Jr's potrayal as Tony Stark back in action. Robert Downey Jr happens to be one of my favorite actors and he really gave an even stronger performance this time around. Gwyneth Paltrow is back as his reliable and self confident love interest who is deeply concerned for Tony Stark and wants the best for him. Scarlet Johanson plays an eloquent femme fatale named Natasha who also cares to help out Tony Stark. Then there is Mickey Rourke who plays a very convincing nemesis and "evil genius" villian named Vanko as the one who targets Tony Stark for revenge. Sam Rockwell plays a calculated senator by the last name of Hammer who craves some of the power that Tony Stark has. Then there is Gary Shandling who also plays as one of the congressman who also seems to desire some of the influence of the Iron Man. Samuel Jackson happens to also make an appearance as one of the men who is for the Iron Man. Overall, a strong all star cast and I feel that an excellent job was done on casting the characters for their respective parts. It was exciting to see the romantic side of Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark character strive to continue in impressing Pepper Potts while simultaneously being forced to come to terms with maintaining the powerful and heroic legacy of his job as Iron Man,with some exciting scenes thrown in for strong measure. This is a great date night movie that both men and women are going to enjoy. From my perspective, the very talented Robert Downey Jr. has also solidified his status as one of the talented actors to watch for years to come (his acting continues to get better and better in my modest opinion).

This is a very dramatic and heartwrenching movie to watch, but a great one that is based on a true story. Sean Penn plays a very good Harvey Milk. Harvey Milk was a very charismatic and intelligent gay rights advocate. James Franco plays Scott, someone who was very much loved by Harvey. They both move together to San Francisco, where Harvey goes on to have his political career. Harvey Milk becomes the first openly gay man to be elected in office. The movie chronicles some of the other battles that Harvey must face when he gets elected. However, I enjoyed how the movie showed him displaying persistence, courage, and self-confidence even in the face of obstacles. Josh Brolin plays Harvey's political rival Dan White (in real life Dan White is responsible for his murder). There are going to be various elements that catch an individual's attention depending on who they are. What caught my attention was how Harvey Milk is portrayed as one who is the rescuer. Obviously, this at times served him well to have a good heart because he was well loved by many people. The movie shows how he would come to the "rescue" of the two lovers that are portrayed in the movie (Scott Smith and Jack Lira)in a compassionate and caring way. First off, let me say that I think that it was a good thing that he had a big heart. It served him in a positive way on how he connected to people from all walks of life. However, the movie does portray that it was his rescuing personality that may have cost him his life. This is due to the fact that the movie shows how one of Harvey's campaign workers warns him about being too close to Dan White. Harvey understands this concern of the campaign worker, but he implies why Dan could benefit from his help. Then the campaign worker rightfully points up that he is big on being the rescuer, and seems to drop hints to Harvey to be careful. Sean Penn played the role of Harvey Milk so well that it really felt like I was getting a historic glimpse on what it might have felt like for Harvey Milk and for those that were the closest to him and helping him out. I normally love and prefer to watch only cheerful feel good movies. However, this movie pulled at my heartstrings because a very powerful, caring, and intelligent man was taken at such a stage in his life where he was just starting to reap the benefits of his hard work. Aside from this caveat, I still feel that this was a terrific movie with some convincing and talented actors and actresses, with my favorite two being Sean Penn and James Franco.

Harry Potter and the Dramatic Hallows, November 22, 2010
While keeping the plot discreet, I must start off by saying that this one of the best installments of the series to have come out since the first movie. I have been fortunate in being able to see all the Harry Potter installments, including this one. However, I must say that from my perspective, that the movie is so intense, that anyone that is 12 or under may need a person to accompany them that is at least 18 or over. I say this only because I feel that this movie is terrific, but it is much more intense than the other installments. This movie finds Harry Potter and his friends coming to terms with learning who is truthfully on their side and the people that he knew that went to the dark side. There is strong romantic chemistry between both Hermoine and Harry and Hermoine and Ron that you end up wondering how the future between the three of them is going to unfold. From the beginning the movie carefully paints a picture that one cannot overcome the trials of life alone. Once again in this movie, the viewer gets to see many of the people that are going to be a part in helping Harry and his friends along their journey. This series has alot of good special effects and scenery that both adults and children are going to love. The plot, all the way up to the ending is very well developed that time really flies when you see the movie. Many of the events in the movie are very exciting and leave you in suspense. Last, but not least, I enjoyed the Harry Potter movie that was released last summer. However, I would have to say that this movie (the Deathly Hallows one) is definitely better than last years, and many like myself are going to feel that it is even better than the first (which is saying alot, because the first installment is a classic).

Compelling Type Thing, November 10, 2010
I remember hearing this song as a teenager. I enjoyed the song and still do now. It has an electrifying blend of high energy lyrics and strong guitar notes. I read online that there was a controversy on exactly what the song is about. There are a variant of controversial statements posted online on what he might have meant by this song. I personally think that the lead singer actually had the best intentions in mind when recording this very compelling song. It appears to be about sex, but when you listen to it there can be several meanings depending on how one was raised. I personally think that he was only trying to send an informative message on how the desire for power shapes a persons behavior. Regardless, this is actually a good song and one that is still interesting to listen to even after all the years that passed since it has been released (1992(.

Country Delight, November 10, 2010
This Alabama music collection is definitely handy to own if you or someone else close to you enjoys Alabama. My husband is a fan of Alabama's music, and this was one of the reasons for me to have purchased this cd. Many of the songs on the Alabama cd are gems that grow on you each listen. I can personally attest to this. I normally am prone to listen to alot of music from the pop, dance, and rock genres. However, I am open to listen to other musical genres when many of the songs on the cd are great. This is one such cd that has many great songs. My husband's favorite song is "Born Country". My favorite song on the cd is "She and I". If you are a country music fan then definitely get this cd. If you are open minded to good music from many musical genres, then this cd is also for you. What I also love is that there are songs in this collection to appeal to different moods. If you are in a romantic mood some of the songs to listen to are "Dixieland Delight", "Take Me Down", and "There's a Fire In the Night". If you want to listen to happiness booster songs there are songs such as "Forty Hour Week (For a Livin')" and "Down Home". There are other good songs to appeal to the various moods from this wonderful collection, but I wanted to give a sampler from some of their classics. Last but not least, this is definitely one of the musical collections that give you your money's worth.

Excitement Monster, November 10, 2010
First off, I have to admit that currently my husband loves many of the songs on Lady Gaga's The Fame Monster cd. He enjoys more of her songs on the cd than I do. Please understand that I do like some of the songs on her cd, but I am truthfully more of a Madonna fan. However, because I love my husband very much, I am inclined to keep an open mind to music and artists that he likes. The reason why I find this quite ironic that he is now a fan is due to what happened when she first came out. For a brief time I had her song "Just Dance" as my cell phone ringtone, and I enjoyed the video and music to her "Bad Romance" song. Whenever, I would watch this video it was hard for him to fathom why I enjoyed listening to the song, let alone the rest of her music. However, once I purchased the cd, this changed. He and I share music with each other, and he started to enjoy many of her songs once he listened to them on his ipod. I had burned this cd to my ipod, and then he downloaded it to his mp3 player. Obviously, he now enjoys many of her songs with one of his top favorites being "Money Honey". As for me it is a tie between the song "Monster" and "Teeth". I remember feeling compelled to buy this cd after I heard someone else listening to the "Teeth" song. I have watched some of her musical videos and songs to see some of her creativity showcased (such as in "Telephone"). When I lived in Orlando, Florida, many of Lady Gaga's songs were played on the radio frequently. Now that I live in the D.C. area, I still hear her songs, but I wish that they would play them more often. This is especially because her concerts sell out quickly. I tried to get tickets to her concert in both Orlando and then in this area and both times, they were already sold out. This cd may take a while to grow on some. She creatively pays homage to Madonna in some of her songs. In my humble opinion, her Alejandro video definitely pays homage to Madonna. The best way to determine as a litmus test, if you would enjoy some of her songs on this cd is if you enjoy Madonna's music. If you enjoy many of Madonna's songs, then it is safe to say that you are going to enjoy this cd.

Megafun, November 5, 2010
Will Ferrell plays a genius supervillian named Megamind who ends up using his gifts for scandalous means after getting tired of being underappreciated and receiving the treatment of a social outcast. Brad Pitt plays his equally gifted rival Metro Man. Tina Fey plays a very energetic, vivacious, and upbeat woman named Roxanne that is very important to the character development of Megamind. The beautiful and uplifting message of the movie is that everyone has good in them. I also enjoy the message that seems to be tailored to both kids and adults that persistence can pay off even after multiple setbacks. There are plenty of scenes to make a person laugh. In addition, I like how the movie portrayed how a person that may seem like a villian on the outside is not always what they initially appear to be at the surface. In addition, the movie also sends a message that those that create mischief can many times be the ones that are yearning to be accepted and loved the most. All of the actors and actresses voiced their parts in a superb fashion. However, Will's Megamind character really helped to increase the humour and life into this great animated movie. This is definitely one of the animated movies to see this month.

Ready and Extremely Determined, October 19, 2010
When I first saw the previews to the movie, I was honestly unsure if I wanted to see it only because the movie seemed to be scripted to former CIA agents that want revenge. While it is fine to have such a script, I was wondering how exciting it was going to be. Then they showed the preview of John Malkovich saying "Old my (you know what) shooting at a younger assasin who seemed to be in for the shock of her life after realizing that he had more fighting ability than initially realized. It was then I decided to see it because something about that scene made me realize that the movie was going to be more eventful than what I was seeing in the trailer. Fortunately, I am glad that I decided to go with this feeling. This movie has a strong all star cast of actors and actresses featuring Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich who end up going on a "adventure/preserving their life mission" after finding out that very powerful people in government want them dead for some reason. From my perspective, The plot was a combination of dark comedy and action. The two actors that stood out the most for me in the movie were John Malkovich and Helen Mirren. Helen Mirren stood out because she plays a strong and self confident former CIA operative who is ready at a moment's notice to go on "the odd jobs here and there" whenever she is needed. I like that she plays a very assertive and powerful person who knows what she wants. She also seems like the type of person that is comfortable and happy with herself in real-life from the strong performance she gave in the movie. I am a college student who is obviously from a different generation than she is, but I am inspired by Helen's example and intend to be an extremely self-confident person by the time that I reach the life stage that she is in now. I enjoyed John Malkovich's performance very much because he played a gifted but extremely paranoid former operative that was frequently looking over his shoulder for perceived threats in a very powerful and with the right amount of forceful manner. As it turns out, his paranoia many times is justified. He really adds excitement and humor to the movie in his role as a talented but guarded former CIA operative. The best indicators I can say is if you like your movies with a mix of dark comedy, action, drama, and suspense then chances are good that you are going to enjoy this movie.

The Eye of Hope, Persistence, and Triumph, October 13, 2010
This has definitely become one of my favorite songs to listen to whenever I desire to give myself an emotional boost and encouragement. It is definitely a song that I intend to listen to more often from now on. If you are looking for a song that is going to give you an emotional jolt of encouragement and hope, then this is definitely your song. Have you ever had one of those days that was challenging, but you knew that you could triumph, but you need a good song to get you emotionally going? Then this is definitely a song to recharge your hope and optimism batteries. Many joyful, happy, and self-confident people are also going to enjoy this song. However, I must emphasize that this is also a song to be enjoyed if you happen to crave something to listen to that is going to feel encouraging and give you a dose of emotional and spiritual strength.

The Soap Opera Network, October 11, 2010
I must start off by admitting that this movie exceeded my expectations. I was at first uncertain how much I was going to like the movie because I read online that the actual Mark Zuckerberg bluntly stated that the movie is a piece of fiction, and that he wished that the movie was not made while he was still alive [...]. I decided to give it a chance once my husband convinced me to see it because my husband has good taste in movies. This movie was definitely one where both my husband and I felt that time flew by. This movie basically paints a good picture of the circumstances leading up to the creation to facebook and the major players instrumental in the creation. Jesse Eisenberg masterfully portrays a very highly intelligent Mark Zuckerberg who seems to be very shocked but suprisingly calm when he gets sued by Eduardo Saverin (eloquently played by Andrew Garfield), the Winklevoss twins (played by Armie Hammer), and Divya Narendra (Max Minghella). The movie cleverly portrays events leading up to why he got sued, and it honestly left me wondering if there could have been a better way for things to get resolved. The reason why I title the review Soap Opera because it did portray the main characters in an exciting way as men who liked to love and have fun like everyone else. For one, the movie portrays some of the women that might have been romantically involved with them (Eduardo and Mark). In addition the audience is treated to an interesting story on how Mark and Eduardo may have met the Napster founder and Facebook Co-founder Sean Parker (wonderfully played by Justin Timberlake). Justine Timberlake does a very fine job as portraying Sean Parker as a very creative, talented, and controversial man. An October 7th, 2010 article in La Times online reads that Sean Parker has recently given $100,000 to the ballot initiative that would legalize marijuana in California.[...] After watching this movie I can honestly understand why Mark Zuckerberg did not want a movie about him while still alive. The main reason is because although I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, it may have been an invasion of privacy if the movie is possibly close to some of the events that played out in his life. I'm saying this from the perspective of if he (Mark) did not give his full permission to make the movie. In addition, the movie portrays him to be extremely smart, but needing to have more compassion towards people. The only catch with this portrayal is that some people may appear to have a tough and hardened exterior, but are actually craving to be accepted and understood inside. I have myself personally encountered people who appeared to be abrasive on the outside, but were actually compassionate deep down, but felt like they had to potray a hardened exterior to protect themselves until they had compelling reasons to show their more calm side. Regardless of how you are going to feel about the characters, I can safely say that this movie is definitely an engaging type of soap opera to watch regardless of how close to true life events it is.

Depeche Mode Classics, September 29, 2010
I must start off by admitting that I received this as a gift from my wonderful husband back in 2005. We were celebrating our one year wedding anniversary, and he decided to gift me with this great collection of Depeche Mode songs. He and I have similiar tastes in music, and he felt that I would enjoy this compilation. I must say that five years later I do. This collection, in my humble opinion, gets better and better with each listen. This compilation happens to be two discs with disc 1 containing 10 tracks and disc two containing 11 tracks. This is definitely a great collection to purchase if you enjoy 80's music and/or 80's and 90's alternative rock. Every song on each of the two cds is a good one. However, my top five favorite songs on disc 1 that many who purchase this are going to like:
1. Stripped: A classic 80's song about the man asking his lover to come see him outside and private, and you guessed it (strip down). However, the song is very well put together, especially when he methodically raises his voice to basically say that he wants his lover to do just for him.
2. Strange Love: A song about how the man admits that he is prone to experimenting with others in his quest to fullfill his desires, but is willing to also come back to someone if they have more to teach.
3. Never Let Me Down Again: I really like the starting music at the end. It is a song about a man who is going along on a journey with his "best friend", and he hopes to be correct in trusting his friend.
4. Personal Jesus: A creative song about a man willing to be a personal savior to someone who wants to have a lover that is actually "physically there", and that he is willing to satisfy her desires. The music video to this song has an interesting country western type theme.
5. World in My Eyes: A track about how someone wants to take their desired love on an erotic trip. The lead singer cleverly uses metaphors of linking his passionate conquest to that of a ship, rivers, and oceans "around the world and back'(you can pretty much get the gist). I also like the music that is used in this song.
My top favorite songs on disc two that I think many are going to enjoy:
1. Walking in My Shoes: A great song that makes a valid point that a person must consider refraining from judging someone else until they walk in their shoes. The lead singer intelligently makes a point that the same people judging him would possible find their life just as challenging, if not more so if the judgers walked in his shoes. I can personally relate to this song because I myself have sometimes felt like some were too quick to judge me before taking the time to put themselves in my shoes. Many others that read this can probably also recall a time when others were too quick to judge them prematurely. This is easily a song that I liked from the start of receiving the collection as a gift and still enjoy five years later.
2. I Feel You: A melody about someone who feels his love everywhere. This track contains what sounds like a creatively balanced blend of electronica and western type music. I saw the video to this song, and I think that the female model of the song starred in a vampire type series in the 90's that might have been called some name along a title of "dark shadows".
3. Only When I Lose Myself: A quiet electronic type ballad where the singer admits that its only when he loses himself in another person that he finds himself. I was neutral about whether I liked this song when I first heard it, but then it grew on me each listen. I appreciate how the lead singer shows his vulnerable and romantic side when he expresses how he feels hypnotized by the person he loves, even when his head is rationalizing him to feel otherwise.
4. In Your Room: A great track how a person can care about someone so much to the point that they are content with just being in the person's room. This song is in the same vein as "Only When I Lose Myself", but in a good way.
5. Little 15: A catchy song about a young female wanting to enjoy just the simple things in life. Once again, I really enjoy the background melodic music to this song. It sounds like a beautiful blend of classical and electronica type music.
Of course there are more great gems in this singles collection, but I wanted to bring attention to the ones that were my favorites and that I feel that many others are going to enjoy. Also, I still have this collection five years later after my husband gifted it to me. Many that purchase this compilation are also going to like this double disc set. I feel charmed, blessed, and lucky to say that my husband and I have grown even closer and stronger in our marriage over five years after receiving the gift of this two cd set. In summary, this is definitely the two cd set to get if you enjoy 80's and 90's alternative rock and/or electronica music.

This cd contains a good assortment of musical hits from the Ireland's Celtic rock band The Corrs. I at first heard of them when I heard their song "Breathless" on the Grammy Nominees 2001 cd when I was living in Japan. Then came the time when I heard about the Corrs again when I heard their song "Only When I Sleep" on a various artists collection that I bought when visiting Phuket,Thailand. It was the "Only When I Sleep" song that intrigued me to want to hear more songs from the group. I saw their greatest hits collection being sold inside a mall when I was visiting Singapore, and I then decided to buy the collection. It was a birthday present for myself back in 2001 (the good fortune of being able to enjoy Singapore for a few days that coincided with my birthday). I have had this cd since 2001, and I still enjoy this cd over 9 years after I first purchased it. The songs that I at first enjoyed the most in this collection were "Only In My Sleep", and "Irresistible". The songs that grew on me that I now enjoy more are "Breathless" and "Radio". What is great about this collection is that all the songs on this cd are enjoyable, and there is something for everybody. What you may consider your favorite songs from the collection this year may change in the future (as it has for me). However, many who give this Corr's best of collection a try are still going to enjoy many of the songs years later as I have.
