This kindlebook of So You Want To Be A Psychic : The Commonsense Guide to Psychic Abilities caught my attention due to my own goals involving accessing my intuition for practical matters. This kindlebook candidly goes into what psychic gossip entails and can do. She also mentions why intent colors the output of psychic impressions regardless of a person’s intuitive level. I also like how she gives a movie reference example on meditation (using the Happy Gilmore movie example).

On a whim, I decided to take a chance on seeing A Royal Night Out and I’m very happy that I did. The film centers around the characters of Princess Elizabeth (Sarah Gadon) and Princess Margaret (Bel Powley) wanting to get outside of the palace for a little while to learn more about the real world around them. They both successfully convince their parents Queen Elizabeth (Emily Watson) and King George VI (Rupert Everett) to allow them in order to get a sense of what the general public thinks of the royal speeches. Along the way, both Elizabeth and Margaret get themselves into various type of “adventures”. Princess Elizabeth also ends up befriending Jack Hodges (Jack Reynor). Princess Margaret ends up getting help from a local man named Stan (Roger Allam) after getting caught up in a situation. I want to say more yet must avoid doing so for others who read these words and want to see the film. However, what I do feel comfortable saying is that one reason why I enjoyed the film is that it put a multi-faceted spin on how even women from a prominent family would want to at least briefly enjoy life in a way that they perceive as ordinary. As a writer, I liked how the movie shows the multiple ways that the characters are connected to each other plotwise (such as when Princess Margaret’s character is shown getting help at a pivotal moment when things could have turned out completely different). One of the bonuses to A Royal Night Movie include The Making of A Royal Night out. The dvd also had some movie trailers to such movies as Mistress of America and Belle.

This classic rock/rock pop music collection of Actual Miles: Henley’s Greatest Miles by Don Henley is a first rate collection of songs. I admit that I decided to take a chance on giving this collection a listen of a dream that I recently had less than 7 days ago (in the dream I was hearing the song All She Wants To Do is Dance while getting showered and dressed in a suite looking hotel room to go to an event in the same upscale hotel). Anyhow, there are the classic well-known songs that I have heard on radio before that are on this collection: Boys of Summer, All She Wants to Do is Dance, New York Minute, The End of the Innocence etc.,. There are other songs on here that I have not heard on the radio yet are still good to listen to as well such as the Not Enough Love in the World song and the Garden of Allah. For some reason from the lense of an aspiring writer, I imagined the Not Enough Love song to encompass a heart-centered person singing about how they see the world and Garden of Allah to symbolize a person who is dreaming of being in the afterlife and conversing with famous people who died and are still remembered in modern times for their contributions.

Caddyshack is a comical movie featuring various people who become weaved into the scandalous events of the movie plot. There is the character of Danny Noonan (Michael OKeefe) who gets a job as a caddy to help his college dreams. Noonan at times turns to Ty Webb (Chevy Chase) for both job advice and personal matters. Noonan is also able to turn to Maggie O’Hooligan (Sarah Holcomb) both for encouragement and as a girlfriend. The character of Carl Spackler (Bill Murray) ogles some of the older women at the country club while trying to deal with keeping the golf course gopher free. Lacy Underall (Cindy Morgan) is popular for her beauty and wild reputation. Underall is also a family member of Judge Smails (Ted Knight), an influential member of the Bushwood Country Club. Smails and Al Czervik (Rodney Dangerfield) have different ideas for the future of the country club. Al Czervik’s character is shown as an easy-going persona who likes to invigorate/spice things up around him. Of course, there are other actors/actresses in this movie, and Caddyshack is perfect for multiple people who enjoy light-hearted comedies.

The Best of music collection of Hillary Duff caught my attention because of the availability of some of the songs from her Dignity collection on the Best of collection ( I had purchased Dignity from a Florida K-mart around 2006/2007). I also was first exposed to Hillary Duff’s music around 2003/2004 when I was living in California. This is because some of the local radio stations near where I lived as well as Yahoo music would feature her Come Clean and Fly songs (which are on this collection). I also enjoy the With Love song, Reach Out (music tribute to Depeche Mode’s Personal Jesus), Dignity, Wake Up etc.

Destiny by Zero 7 is one of those songs that musically moves me each time I listen to it because I take this tune as a positive/happy love song.
